Design & Build: A Symphony of Elegance

Google has come a long way from its utilitarian design roots. The Pixel 7 Pro is a marvel to behold, featuring a seamless blend of metal and glass. The smartphone’s edges are slightly curved, making it comfortable to hold, while the back showcases a matte finish that exudes sophistication. Its sleek and minimalist appearance is punctuated by the iconic “G” logo, hinting at the power and capabilities housed within. I would prefer if it did not have a logo and was more discreet but It is not very noticeable.

Display: A Portal to Another World

One of the most captivating features of the Pixel 7 Pro is its display. Google has embraced a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel that is nothing short of breathtaking. With an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, browsing and gaming become buttery smooth experiences. HDR10+ support ensures that videos and photos are viewed in the most vibrant and dynamic range of colors. But the magic doesn’t stop there; the under-display camera technology means there’s no more notch or punch-hole interrupting the immersive experience. I do prefer to keep the screen on a lower display rate to get better battery performance.

Performance: Beast Under the Hood

Powering the Pixel 7 Pro is Google’s custom-built Tensor chipset. This powerhouse allows for impeccable multitasking, gaming, and AI-driven operations. Google has optimized the Android 13 OS to take full advantage of the Tensor’s capabilities, resulting in fluid animations, instant app launches, and an overall snappier experience.

Accompanied by 12GB of RAM and options for 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of internal storage, the device caters to both average users and power users who demand the best. I went with the 128GB model due to the fact that photo’s and videos I keep offloaded to the cloud and I keep a minimal amount of items on my phone but, I do keep a good selection of audio books at hand.

Camera: Photography Redefined

The Pixel lineage has always been synonymous with photographic excellence, and the Pixel 7 Pro is no exception. The main 108MP sensor captures the minutest details, and the 12MP ultrawide lens provides breathtaking landscape shots. The cherry on top is the 10MP periscope telephoto lens, allowing for up to 10x optical zoom.

Google’s computational photography, fused with AI, ensures that every shot is perfect. From Night Sight to Super Res Zoom, the software enhancements make the camera system unparalleled in the industry.

Battery & Charging: All Day and Beyond

With a 5,000mAh battery, the Pixel 7 Pro promises all-day battery life, even for the most demanding users. Google’s Adaptive Battery feature learns your app usage patterns to reduce power to the apps you rarely use.

When it comes to charging, the 30W fast charger included in the box ensures a rapid top-up. Plus, with 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging, the Pixel 7 Pro stands as a beacon of versatility.

Even so the pixel could take a note form oneplus with there warp charge feature. Having your phone charge to 50% in about 15 minutes was always cool when I was using a oneplus 10.

Software: Pure Android Bliss

Running on Android 13, the Pixel 7 Pro provides a pure, bloat-free experience. With features like Live Caption, Now Playing, and the new Personal Safety app, Google continues to place user needs at the forefront.

Moreover, with three years of guaranteed software updates and the Pixel’s renowned security features, users can rest assured their data is in safe hands.

Verdict

The Pixel 7 Pro stands out not just as an iteration but as an evolution in the smartphone realm. Its blend of superior hardware and refined software makes it a formidable contender in the market.

While no device is perfect, the Pixel 7 Pro comes tantalizingly close. For those invested in the Android ecosystem, or even those looking for a switch, the Pixel 7 Pro offers a user experience that is hard to rival.

Only issue I have with this phone is the battery. Would be cool if it lasted longer or charged faster. I do enjoy it more than my Oneplus 10. Google did just release the Pixel 8 a few days ago and it has some pretty cool features but because of this you can grab yourself the 7 Pro at a good discount. The biggest reason I picked this phone was it is the best phone so far to use third party roms. I do see the irony that I do a lot to degoogle myself but yet I purchased a google phone.
